Funeral services for Wallace Burton, 80, of Richwood will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Baptist Church in Jones Creek with Rev. E. L Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Community Cemetery in Jones Creek.

He passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. “Bullwinkle”, as he was fondly called, enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and riding around and sightseeing. His was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Harry Burton, Jr.; wife, Ruby Burton; brother, Howard Burton; sisters, Betty Thompson and Bobbie Bryant.

He is survived by his sons, Roland, Burton, Sr. (Debra), Richwood, Jimmy Burton, Sr. (Pamela) and Stanley Burton, both of Houston; daughters, Janet Hall (Marvin), Austin, TX, Roxanne Stephens (Vincent), Houston, TX, Sandy Kennington, Little Elm, TX; sisters, Shirley Amboree (J.C.), Freeport, Gladys Mack (Randolph), Brazoria, Gwen Nichols, Katy, TX; brother, Robert Burton (Gloria), Brazoria; sister-in-law, Tracey Burton, Jones Creek; good friend, Woodson Thompson, Freeport, Antonio Diaz, Santa Fe, TX, Renee Wilson, Richwood; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will viewing at the church on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be no viewing afterwards.
