Wallace’s Obituary Wallace Valentine Smith Wallace Valentine Smith, age 69, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri. Wallace was born the son of Jerome and Dortha (McClarin) Smith on August 13, 1949, in Reger, Missouri. He served in the United State Navy.

He also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Deborah Lewellen on October 9, 1998, in Milan, Missouri. She survives of the home.

Wallace worked as a police officer for the Chillicothe Police Department and as a security officer for Sight and Sound in Branson, Missouri. He also worked for Lay Barge as a chef and on the oil rigs as a chef. Wallace enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Smith, of the home; two daughters, Teresa Smith of California, and Gidget Smith of Washington; one stepson, Alvin Brandon Ashton and wife Michelle of Bevier, Missouri; three stepdaughters, Shyann Reger of the home, Donna Smith and fiancé Chris Curley of the home, and Brenna Reeter and husband Justin of Chula, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and one brother, Garland Smith of Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation.

Burial will be held at Alpha Cemetery, Laredo, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wallace Smith Memorial Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601. Online condolences may be made at www.
