Walter E. Brown, 90 of Springfield passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019 at Hillsboro Rehab Center. He was born May 2, 1928 in Xenia, IL the son of Luther and Ruth Sweeney Brown.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Kevin and Mark, four sisters and seven brothers. Walter married Lois Snodgrass in 1950. Surviving are his wife, Lois; two sons, Jan (Connie) Brown and David (Susan) Brown; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Nadine Shelton; one brother, Bill (Roberta) Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Brush Creek Cemetery in Divernon. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
