Obituary for Walter Stanley ‘Wally’ Englund Englund, Walter Stanley “Wally” Age 94, of Richfield, went to be with the Lord April 16, 2018. He was born Jan 10, 1924 in St. Paul, MN. Wally graduated from Alexandria High School.

He served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean War. Wally met Kathryn Smith in Minneapolis and they were married in 1950. He graduated from Minneapolis Business College, worked as an accountant and served in full- time Christian ministry.

Wally’s passion for sports inspired him to work in his retirement as an usher for the Twins, Vikings, and other Minnesota teams. Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Carrie and brother Robert (Eunice). Survived by wife Kathryn, children Janice (Vern) Kissner, Kevin (Mary Beth) Englund, Bradley (Lynne) Englund, and Patty (Chris) Stroth, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Mount Olivet Careview Home Resident Fund. Memorial Service Mon. April 30, 11am at Oak Grove Lutheran Church, 7045 Lyndale Ave.
