Walter T. Wise, age 87, passed November 29, 2018 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born July 16, 1931 in Akron, OH. Walter served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He retired with 45 years of service from Acme Grocery Stores. Preceded in death by parents, Nelson and Catherine; brothers, Nelson Jr. and Donald; and sisters-in-law, Velma and Verna. Survived by his wife of 66 years, Billie; son, Richard Sr.; grandchildren, Christy (Heith) Vincent and Richard Jr. (Justine); great granddaughter, Heather Vincent; great-great granddaughters, Harper and Annabelle; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 3-5:30 pm at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High St., Wadsworth, OH 44281. A time of sharing will follow at 5:30 pm. Committal service with full military honors will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH.
