OBITUARY Walter Webster Jr. September 6, 1934 – December 7, 2018 Walter Jr. Webster was born September 6, 1934 in Pryor Oklahoma. He was the 9th child of Walter and Viola Webster. He moved to Notus, Idaho when he was ten years old.
While refereeing a basketball game at Notus High School, he met the love of his life Clarice Joan Pullen. They were married on June 26, 1954, and had three children. He had numerous jobs over the years, with stories regarding each one.
He never knew a stranger and loved to help people in need. Walter was very active in his community, serving on the City Council for 1 term, he also served as President and assistant chief for New Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department which he was involved in for 24 years. Walter was most happy when he was around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he never saw a baby he didn’t coo at.
He is survived by his wife Joan of 64 years, his daughter Ellen (Tom Harrison) of Middleton, Clay (Connie) Webster of Star. He has 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Tim Webster, his parents Walter and Viola, and his 8 brothers and sisters.
A viewing will be held Wednesday December 12th from 4-7 p.m. at the New Plymouth Shaffer Jensen Memorial Chapel.
