She was an integral part of her grandchildren’s lives, devoting herself tirelessly. Wanda was born September 23, 1937 daughter of the late Dovie Monree (Golden) Crislip and David Eugene Crislip.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life of 50 years, Robert L. Clevenger, daughter Candace Hitt, son Mark Hitt, and brother Gene Crislip. Wanda was a jack of many trades and master of them all. She loved to cook, bake, and try new recipes and used her family as guinea pigs (whether they were willing or not).

Her favorite quote was “if you see someone without a smile, give them yours”, providing many happy smiles to costumers at Lewis Country Mart where she was the store manager. Throwing her hat in the ring succeeding at many different vocations, she prepared taxes for H&R Block, delivered mail for USPS, worked in real estate, and sold Christmas trees.

She’s done it all from pumping gas to waitressing. Her favorite and most rewarding occupation was working as the secretary for the beloved Reverend Jeff Proya at Bell Chapel UMC where she was a member and made everyone feel welcome. Surviving is her sister Linda “Carol” Crislip, Steubenville, OH; brother Allen Crislip, Richmond, OH; children Robert (Tori) Clevenger JR.
