Obituary for Waneatah R. Ketrow Waneatah R. Ketrow, 98, died at Saint Petersburg, FL on Sunday, June 17, 2018. The cause was complications following an accidental fall. Born in 1919 in Lookeba, OK, she lived in Indianapolis, IN, Lawrenceburg, IN, and for the last 35 years in St. Petersburg, FL.
Waneatah completed more than a year of studies with Ball State University. She worked as a secretary and model for Real Silk Hosiery Mills, secretary for other businesses, and many years as Assistant Director/Office Manager for a federal FollowThrough program in Lawrenceburg, IN, until retiring beside her beloved husband Charles in 1981 and moving to FL. Waneatah was a Poll Worker for local precinct elections.
Waneatah is remembered lovingly by her son, James L. Ketrow and wife, Suzanne, Salem, OR; her daughters, Sandra Ketrow and spouse, Mary Riedford, Kingston, RI, and Janne Ketrow, St. Petersburg, FL; and her grandchildren, Dylan, Megan, and Zachary Ketrow; and her special friend, Christine Young. Waneatah was preceded in death by her husband Charles Ketrow, and her sister, Wynona Nash. Waneatah was a gentle, warm, and quietly funny mother and grandmother, and all who knew her were blessed to have her in their lives.
