Warren D. Viergutz, age 75 of the Town of Larrabee, Waupaca County passed away Tuesday evening, April 30, 2019 at the ThedaCare Medical Center in Shawano. Warren was born on August 4, 1943 in Clintonville as the son of the late William and Irene (Koll) Viergutz, Sr He graduated from Clintonville High School in 1961 and served his country as a member of the Army National Guard.

Warren began working at Urban Telephone and later H & S Steinberg Manufacturing for a few years. He was united in marriage to Darhl Rindt at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville on October 15, 1966. The couple resided on the Viergutz home farm in Larrabee during which time Warren also drove milk truck.

Warren served as Regional Delegate for the Dairy Farmers of America and as President of the Clintonville Elevator Board. He was a faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church – Pella Opening in the Town of Pella where he served as Elder, Usher, and Secretary. Warren was also active in the community as a member of the Caroline Lions Club and served the Town of Larrabee as Board Supervisor.

Farming ran through Warren’s blood and this year will mark the 150th year of his family’s farm. The Viergutz family even hosted Brunch on the Farm for both Clintonville and Shawano over the years. Warren loved to be around his grandchildren and teach them about farming.

He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, singing karaoke, polka dancing, and playing sheephead. Survivors include: His wife: Darhl. Children: David (Connie) Viergutz, Debbie (Erich) Hintz, & Vicki (Jody) Goss.

Grandchildren: Jacob & Erin Viergutz, Collin Hintz, and Ava & Charlie Goss. Sister: Louine Malueg. Brother-in-law: Wayne (Peggy) Rindt.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Nathan Hintz, brother William (Sharon) Viergutz, Jr., sister Elaine (Bill) Donaldson, and a brother-in-law Jim Malueg. Warren’s funeral service will be held Friday, May 3, 2019 at 11am at the St. Peter Lutheran Church – Pella Opening with Rev. Todd Jerabek officiating.

Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery also in the Town of Pella. Friends may call at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville from 4 -7pm Thursday and at the church on Friday from 9am until the time of the service. Military graveside honors will be conducted at the cemetery by members of the Clintonville American Legion Post #63, VFW Post #664, and American Legion Auxiliary Unit #63.
