OBITUARY Wilbur “Pete” Hugh Johnson May 21, 1950 – August 29, 2018 Wilbur Hugh “Pete” Johnson May 21, 1950 – August 29, 2018 Wilbur Hugh Johnson, 68 of Sherman, beloved husband and best friend of Carolyn (Haynes) Johnson for 44 years, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2018. Wilbur Johnson was born to the late Earnest & Evelyn Johnson on May 21, 1950. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Howard & Emmitt Johnson and sister Odessa Biscoe.

Wilbur was born in Dallas, TX; however, the family relocated to Gilmer, TX; early on in his life. Pete graduated from Union Hill High School in 1968. He leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving and faithful wife Carolyn Johnson, two children; Deon (Charessa) Johnson and Sheronda (Michael) Kilgore, sister; Earnestine (Bobby) Walker, Darlene Johnson, Emma (Johnny) Hampton, Huelene (Nathaniel) Alexander, Evonne (Roderick) Hashaway, and two brothers; Fredrick (Faronda) Johnson and Wilfred (Mozell) Johnson along with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Pete will be truly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
