Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the St. John Chapel in Lewisburg, LA for Wilda M. Bourque, 77, the former Wilda Carrier. Mrs. Bourque, a native and long-time resident of Lewisburg, died Friday morning, January 4 at her residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery adjacent to the chapel.

Survivors include her daughters: Barbara Bourque and Lisa Marks and husband Neil-all of Church Point, Pat Trahan and husband Kirk and Sue Sonnier-all of Lewisburg, Jeanna Dupree and husband Clayton of Rayne, LA and Tammy Lamonte and husband Gino of Opelousas, LA; her brothers, Joe Carrier and wife Lois of Opelousas and Ricky Carrier and wife Cary of Rayne; her sisters, Alma Broussard and husband Richard of Rayne and Brenda Richard and husband Ronald of Scott, LA; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Yves and Aline LeJeune Carrier; her husband, Raoul Bourque and an infant son, Joseph Leroy Bourque. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. Sunday until the time of the services.

A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 1:00 P.M. Sunday by Monsignor DeBlanc. Pallbearers will be her daughters and honorary pallbearers will be Joe and Ricky Carrier, Kirk Trahan, Clay Dupree, Neil Marks, Gino Lamonte and Ray Bourque. Mrs. Bourque was truly loved and will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to her sister, Alma, her caregiver.
