Willa Jean Murphree Martin, 91, of Senatobia, MS passed away February 10, 2019 at Senatobia Healthcare and Rehab. She was a former writer at the Tate County Democrat. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Abrisz of Dyersville, IA; sons, Lee C. Martin of Euless, TX, Charles B. Lawson of Olive Branch, MS and Mike Martin of Senatobia, MS; brother, Joe Murphree of Senatobia, MS; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert L. (Red) Martin; stepsons, Hubert Holland Martin and Thomas L. Martin; parents, Baxter and Eleanor Murphree; sister, Virginia Willis and brothers, Baxter Murphree and Thomas Murphree. Memorials may be sent to Highland Baptist Church where she was a member.
