Bridgeport ~ Willa June Vannoy, 89, an insurance agent, went to be with our Lord Monday, July 2, 2018 in Bridgeport. Funeral is 10:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Ringgold Cemetery in Ringgold, Texas. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior at the funeral home.

Ted Warwick will officiate. Pallbearers include Jimmy Williams, Carl Meyer, Steve Lancaster, David McEntire, Cooper McClung and Melvin Castleberry. Honorary pallbearers include Bud Buck and Henry Kaker.

Willa was born on August 24, 1928 to Curtis Osborn and Lola Bertha (Baker) Teague in Nocona, Texas. She was united in marriage to James Vannoy on December 22, 1946 in Nocona. She was a member of the East Mound Church of Christ in Bridgeport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Vannoy; her son, Jimmy Vannoy; her daughter, Janet Powers; and her brother, Don Teague. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Sarah Ramsey and husband Steve of Corsicana, Julie Eskam and husband Aaron of Norman, Oklahoma, Penny English and husband Steven of San Antonio and Michael Walters and wife Filix of Cannon AFB, New Mexico; 16 great grandchildren; her sister, Elene Blackstone and husband Preston of Sherman and her brother, Elton Teague and wife Kay of Nocona; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
