William A. Kelley, Sr., 84, of Minford, Ohio, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Born on February 20, 1934 in Peniel, WV to the late Olie and Chessie Fields Kelley, where he learned the value of a hard day’s work. On June 24, 1957, he married the love of his life, Nancy Hathaway.

Bill was a 1953 graduate of Spencer (WV) High School and earned a B.A. at Ohio University. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Hathaway Kelley, and their five children, William “Butch”, Jr. (Carole), Beth (Paul), Scott (Debbie), Laura (Shawn) and Bryan (Laura). He was the proud grandfather to Sara, Trey, Joshua, Andrew, Elizabeth and Matthew and great-grandfather to Aidan, Weston, Duncan, Connor, Wynn and Gracelyn.

Also surviving is a brother, John T. Kelley of Peniel, WV. Besides his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Ronnie Kelley. Bill worked 41 years at the Piketon Uranium Enrichment Plant, but his family was always first with him.

He always pushed his children to do their best in every endeavor. At Bill’s request, there will be no service, but the family will be having a Celebration of Bill’s Life at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to SOMC Hospice, 2201 25th St, Portsmouth, Ohio 45662.
