OBITUARY William A Nau April 4, 1938 – January 4, 2019 William A. “Bill” Nau, age 80, of Peoria, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 at 10:56 p.m. at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born April 4, 1938 in Peoria to Edward and Marie (Eden) Nau.

He married Jan Hammerand on Aug. 8, 1965 in Peoria. Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years; one daughter, Cathy (Eric) Ellis of Peoria, two sons: Marc (Tina) Nau of Port Orchard, WA, Dr. Chris (Becky) Nau of Washington, eleven grandchildren: Christopher Nau, Shelby Nau, Cheyenne Nau, Lincoln Nau, Caitlin Ellis, Ashleigh Ellis, Vanessa Ellis, Claire Ellis, Madison Nau, Killian Nau, Allison Nau, and one great-grandson, Liam Dennis.

He is also survived by one brother, Ed (Eleanor) Nau of Glasford, two sisters: Mary Lou Haste of Pekin and Rose (Roger) Isbell of Glasford. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: Charles and Jerry Nau. Bill worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 40 years retiring in 2005.

His greatest love was his family. His grandchildren were top priority. He was always available to babysit, play games, play ball, or just be with them.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan.

10, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate.
