William’s Obituary William Andrew Sorensen, Sr., 74, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on December 26, 2018, at his home. He was born March 27, 1944, in Maywood, CA to the late Wayne and Ellen Sorensen. Mr. Sorensen was a lifelong business owner.

He and his wife, Ann Marie, owned Calico Chevron gas station in Yermo, CA and later owned Matterhorn Motel in Ouray, CO. He retired in 2006 and later relocated to Vero Beach in 2008. Mr. Sorensen was a mechanic by trade and a true “Mr. Fix-It”.

He loved technology and always kept a sharp mind. He leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife of 53 years, Ann Marie Sorensen of Vero Beach; children, William Andrew Sorensen, II, of Vero Beach, Melissa Roberts of Vero Beach and David Sorensen of Yorktown, VA; grandchildren, Gennifer Rosin of Alta Loma, CA, Rebekah Sorensen of La Verne, CA, William Andrew Sorensen, III, of Vero Beach, Branden Sorensen of La Verne, CA, Samantha Roberts of Orlando, FL, Samuel Roberts of Vero Beach, Alex Sorensen of Yorktown, VA, Sophia Sorensen of Yorktown, VA; two great-granddaughters, Belle and Olivia Rosin and sisters, Shirley Anderson of Lynden, WA and Donna Raulston of Arizona. At the request of the family, services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
