William B. Havlichek, 71, DuBois, formerly of Fairmont, WV, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 2, 1946, in Fairmont, WV. He was the son of the late John & Betty (Maple) Havlichek.

He was married to Carolyn (Hopson) Havlichek who preceded him in death in 1999. In 2005 he married Edna (Brady) (Tyger) Havlichek who survives in DuBois. After graduating High School, William went to Fairmont State College in WV and then Durham Technical School in Durham, NC.

William was a Master Pattern & Master Model Maker for Owens-Illinois. He had loved basketball and officiating games for many years in WV and NC. He was a member of the Sandy Hose Club, VFW and the Falls Creek Eagles.

He enjoyed fishing and golfing and loved spending time with his family & friends. William attended the Salem United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife William is also survived by two sons, John Michael (Brenda) Havlichek and William Brian Havlichek both of DuBois, three step-children, Timothy (Tracy) Tyger of Punxsutawney, Tonya (Eugene) Wood of Punxsutawney and Robert (Nancy) Tyger of Rockton, a sister Mary Ellen Haines of Covington, VA, a brother Harvey (Debbie) Havlichek of Colfax, WV.

, seven step-grandchildren, Cassidy Leiberton, Nathan Kirkwood & Joseph Liegey of DuBois, Jacob Tyger, Joshua Tyger & Shauna Wood of Punxsutawney, and Lindsey Tyger of DuBois and one step-great-granddaughter Aubree Tyger of DuBois. Friends will be received on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 10am until 11am at the Salem United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will follow at 11am with Pastor Richard Howe officiating.
