Obituary for William Furman William Bert Furman, PhD, Sunday, July 1, 2018. Born June 7, 1938 in Jamestown, NY, the son of Mildred and Bert William Furman. He is survived by his wife, Savannah (nee Bishop), a stepson, David Wayne (Dorothy) Vaughn; four grandchildren, Loretta (David) Schuster, Richard (Nikki Gray) Vaughn, David James (Joslyn) Vaughn, and Andrew (Heather) Vaughn, seven great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Judith Furman; nephews, David and Dan Furman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles Ray Furman. Dr. Furman volunteered for Talking Tapes and was involved with the Sons of the Desert – The International Laurel & Hardy Appreciation Society. Memorial Visitation Friday, July 6th, 12:30 pm followed by 1:30 pm service at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd.
