William M. “Bill” Loos, 86, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Sunday, May 5, 2019 peacefully in his home. He was born April 1, 1933 in Jackson, Missouri to William and Bertilla Heisserer Loos. He married Mary E. Steimle on May 19, 1956 at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Along with serving in the National Guard, Bill was a truck driver for Schott Electric Co. for over 20 yrs. , and drove a Bob truck delivering products for numerous companies including, Cape Electric, Dakota Electric, Manhattan Distributing, and Hutson Furniture, before retiring at age 62. He was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and the Knights of Columbus Council # 1111.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary E. Loos of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Gary M. Loos of Cape Girardeau, Mark E.(wife, Olga) Loos of Cape Girardeau, and Timothy W. (fiancé, Louise Eftink) Loos of Naples, Florida; four brothers, Jack Loos of Bloomfield Hills Michigan, George Loos of Mission Viejo California, Dick Loos of Cape Girardeau and Jerry Loos of Peoria, Illinois; three sisters, Sally Deevers of Cape Girardeau, Carol Sue Clark of Lexington, Kentucky and Kathleen Crabdree of Saint Louis, Missouri; Six grandchildren, Samuel Loos, Sarah Loos, Tina Loos, Timmy Loos, Noah Loos, and Maya Loos. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bill was known to be an avid bargain hunter, loved to join in on the dance floor, enjoyed demolition derby’s, noted as the cool uncle who made his nieces and nephews laugh, and always greeted visitors with a big hello.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Ford & Sons Funeral Home on Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Parish Prayers begin at 7:00 pm, concluding with the Rosary lead by the Knights of Columbus Council #1111.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 9, 2019 at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
