William L. “Bill” Brischke, age 70, of Shelby, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at home. Bill was born April 26, 1948 in Hart, Michigan to William Henry Brischke and Betty Jane Makin Brischke. Bill was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.

He married Coral Tear Dorman on October 6, 1996. He was employed as a furnace operator technician at Howmet Corporation before his retirement. Bill was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Coral; his daughter, Kelly (Bill) Martindale; stepchildren, Jodi Lavasseur, Michael Dorman, Brian Dorman and John (Nichole) Dorman; granddaughter, Ashlynn Wilkins; brother, Dan (Gloria) Brischke; sister, Betty Ann (Tom) TenBrink; stepbrother, Duane (Thelma) Hallack; stepsister, Ann (Tom) Fodrocy; stepgrandchildren, Devin Beals, Ryan, Josie, Rylie, Zoey, Kalysta and Raquel Dorman; special niece and friend, Katelynn Brischke; his faithful canine companion, his little girl, Gracie; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his stepfather, George Hallack. Visitation is Tuesday, May 22nd from 4-8 pm at Harris Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 23rd, 2 pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, west of Shelby. Interment will be in Benona Township Cemetery.
