Obituary for William “Billy” A. Bunnell William A. “Billy” Bunnell, age 65 of Okeana, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born on October 3, 1952 to William A. and Eleanore (nee Hargis) Bunnell.
Billy married Theresa Strassell and they were blessed with two children: William and Sarah. Theresa passed away in 2003 and on May 20, 2009 he married Johnnie Brown and he became a bonus dad to Alyssa, Ashley, Autumn and Alyson. Billy worked for Straightline Concrete for 21 years.
He was a hardworker and always had a great sense of humor. Billy was laid back, outgoing, enjoyed helping others, and never met a stranger. Billy was preceded in death by his first wife: Theresa Bunnell; father: William A. Bunnell; and mother in law: Jeraldine Brown.
Those left to cherish Billy’s memory are his loving wife Johnnie (nee Strassell) Bunnell; Children: William “Bill” (Ann) Bunnell, Sarah (Shawn) Hartford; bonus children: Alyssa, Ashley, Autumn Curtis and Alyson Bitel; cherished grandchildren: Jackson, Madie, Katie, Hayden, Maya, Molly , TJ and Chris; Devoted mother: Eleanore Bunnell; beloved siblings: Daniel (Donna) Bunnell, Rebecca (Daryl) Back and James Bunnell. Also survived by his Father in law: Roy (Diane) Brown and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Brater Winter Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 12 PM also at Brater Winter Funeral Home. Bryan Harrison will be the minister and burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the funeral home to defray the costs of the funeral expenses.
