Obituary for William “Bob” Copher William R. “Bob” Copher William R. “Bob” Copher, age 88, of Winston, OR, passed away at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR, on Monday, May 14, 2018. He was born April 8, 1930, in Midvale, Idaho, to William T. and Thelma M. (Wilburn) Copher, the first of their twelve children. While still a child, the family moved to Sandy, Oregon.

It was here that Bob met his wife, Ann. He and Ann spent many years collecting antiques. Bob and Ann spent most of their married life in North Bend, Oregon, where he was head sawyer for Menasha Corp.

and eventually Utilities Superintendent at the paper mill. It was here they raised their two children, Bob and Margie. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Gordon and Dean.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ann; his son, Bob; daughter, Margie; son in-law, Matt Ponzoha; grandsons, Brian and Dustin Ponzoha; and nine siblings, Lois, Ted, Loren, Joyce, Pat, Dan, Gene, Ed and Jack. At his request, he will be cremated and there will be no service. DeMoss-Durdan is handling arrangements.
