Obituary for William Clark JR- William Clark Jr., was born on February 18, 1939 in Palmer, Missouri to the union of William and Bessie Clark. He was the eldest son of eleven children from their union. He received his formal education in the Chicago Public School System.

He met Phyllis Baker in 1958, they married. To this union eight children were born, Sherry Clark-Randall, Rory Clark, Danny Clark, Terry Clark, Wanda Clark-Gordon, Lorrraine Clark, Michael Clark and Angela Clark. He later married Vicky Clark.

To this union two sons were born Donny (Marie) Clark and Darren Clark. He also became father to Yolanda Clark (mother Geraldine Sutton). He was affectionately known as Clark, Junior, Daddy and Danny.

William worked for the YellowCab Company for many years as a driver. He later worked for Jiffy Cab Company as a driver, dispatch and later, owner of his own cab. He was an active participant in his community on resident’s concerns and in the decision making for his community.

He effectively built and maintained an open two way relationship with residents, Riverdale Police Department and political leaders in the community. In November 2017, William was presented a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his sincere cooperation and continuous support of the Riverdale Park District. William was a very stubborn and outspoken man.

Anyone who knew him knew he did not hold back from voicing his opinion or anything. He was well loved and respected in his community. On June 6, 2018, William Clark Jr. fell asleep in death.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Bessie Clark, two brothers, two sisters, one daughter Lorraine Clark and his grandson Danny Clark Jr. William leaves to cherish his memories, his four sisters Maggie (Arrie) Ammons, Betty, Juanita and Brenda; two brothers Ronald and Ernest (Rochelle); children Sherry, Rory, Danny, Terry, Wanda, Michael, Angela, Donny, Darren and Yolanda; daughter-in-law Marie Clark; Joseph Williams; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
