William’s Obituary William E. “Bill” “Snitcher” McAninch, 65, of 635 Second Avenue, Johnsonburg, died Monday night, Feb. 4, 2019, at his residence following a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on Dec.

5, 1953, in Ridgway, to Charles “Bill” and Emma Rhines McAninch. He married Nancy Clark on Nov. 5, 1977in Sacred Heart Church in St. Marys; she survives.

Bill resided in Johnsonburg most of his life, and had also lived in St. Marys for eight years. He graduated from Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1971, and was a member of the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg where he was an Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of Central’s in Johnsonburg, Wilcox Sportsmen’s Club, and the Ridgway Moose.

He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, playing cards and rooting for the Steelers and Pirates. He retired from Eastern Sintered in 2016 after 10-plus years of service, and had also worked part-time at Clarion Sintered Metals, Walmart for two years, and Willamette Industries, Johnsonburg Mill for 26 years. Alongside his wife at home and father, Bill is survived by three children, Ryan and Kevin McAninch both at home; and Sarah, Mrs. Nathan Parana of Johnsonburg; four siblings including two brothers, Michael McAninch and his wife, Patti, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Scott McAninch and his wife, Kristina, of Wilcox; and two sisters, Kandi McAninch and Mike Severance of Johnsonburg; and Lynn Groeger and Steve Mann of Johnsonburg; two grandchildren, Bryce Johnson and Bentley Parana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother. A Mass of Christian Burial for William E. McAninch will be conducted at the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Friday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. with Fr.

David Wilson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg. Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut Street Johnsonburg, on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions shoulwd be made to Penn Highlands Community Nurses-Home Hospice, 757 Johnsonburg Road, Ste.
