Preston – William F. Siener, 61, whom everyone knew as “Billy” and affectionately known as “Poppa” passed away peacefully at his home in Preston on July 5, 2018. He was born August 19, 1956 in Lackawanna, NY, a son to the late John and Mary (Walters) Siener. Billy was employed at Electric Boat as an electrician for 17 years.

He was last employed as a truck driver for Doug Clark & Son Trucking where he worked with his long-time friend Douglas Clark. He is survived by his wife Roberta (Bobbe) Siener and their three children Corey Siener and former partner Elizabeth Snelling of Preston and Griswold, Lindsay (Siener) Martell and husband Eric Martell of Lisbon and Jeremy Siener of Willimantic, his grandchildren and loves of his life Christian Gervais, Julianna, Blake, Zackary and Xavier Martell, Kaleb and Kameren Siener and step grandchildren Kayla and Kole Mechlin. He is also survived by three brothers Jack and Kathy Siener, Dennis and Kathy Siener and Rick and Lynn Siener, one sister Beverly (Siener) and Mike Ball all of New York, his brother in law Skip Larivey also of New York, his wonderful godmother Aunt Joan Watts of Buffalo, NY and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Marybeth (Siener) Larivey. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Billy’s memory to Jewett City Volunteer Fire Department 105 Hill Street Jewett City, CT 06351. Calling hours will be held 6:00-8:00PM Thursday July 12, 2018 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT.
