William F. “Woody” Woodruff Sr., age 88, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday night, December 29, 2018, at the Meadows at Osborne Park, Huron. He was born June 25, 1930, in Castalia, to Floyd and Edna (Treft) Woodruff, and attended Margaretta High School. He retired from Sandusky Dressed Beef after 40 plus years as a truck driver.

Woody was a member of the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene, Sandusky, and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife Betty (Miller) Woodruff; two daughters Gail (Don) Carroll, and Christine (Gary) Byler; two sons Gary (Cindy) Woodruff, and Bill (Mona) Woodruff; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and six step children Teri, Faith, Cathy, Sheila, Rick, and Chick. Woody was preceded in death by his son Guy Woodruff; step son Micky Smith; and parents Floyd and Edna Woodruff.

Friends may call from 6-8 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2019, and from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM, Thursday January 3, 2019, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Pastor Ron Biehl will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery at a later date.
