Obituary for William deDie William George deDie passed away July 26, 2018 in his home, surrounded by family. He was born September 15, 1933 to William and Susie (Posthumus) deDie. He grew up on a celery farm on Centre Street in Portage with his siblings.

These included Jennie (Balizs), Henry, Adrian, Winnie (Grooten), Cornelia (Zomer), Samuel, Catherine (Rosie), and Marion (Payne). Later the family moved to Vicksburg. After graduating from high school, William started working at Lee Paper and continued working there through all of the paper mill’s name changes until he retired from Fox River.

He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-two years Gayle (Kundart). Together they had two children, William and Gayle. Three grandchildren Jacob, Alexander, and Shelby from Gayle and her husband Alan.

There are also several nieces and nephews. Graveside services pending.
