Copley, William G. Age 86, January 12, 2019. Born February 18, 1932 in Detroit to the late James C. Sr and Ellen (Kanzius) Copley. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor “Ellie” Copley (10-9-2017) for 62 years.

Loving father of Linda McKiddie, William M. (Dawn) Copley, Susan (Bob) Hocking and John (Maryann) Copley. Proud grandpa of Brad (Carrie) Jason, Greg, Heather (Wes), Alex (Danny), Christopher, Lance William, Allyssa, Jacob and Luke. Step-grandfather of Paul (Zarema) and Jon.

Great-Grandfather of Juliette, Ellie, Mikaela, Nathan, Drewsen, Jackson and Lincoln. Step-grandfather of Isabella and David. Dear brother of Byron R. “Dick” (Lois) Copley and the late Thomas E, James C Jr., Marion Dunn and Harry W. Copley.

Also survived by many loving nieces, especially Darlene who visited him on Wednesdays regularly, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. Bill was a simple man always putting other people first. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving with his brothers James C. Jr. and Harry in the Korean War.

He worked for Holcroft Thermo/Electron in Livonia for 30 + years and upon retiring, he purchased his proud home in Oscoda on Cedar Lake, where his entire family could come visit them. He enjoyed playing euchre and pinochle, and Sequence with his grandchildren. He was loved by all and his humor will be missed.

Visitation at the O’Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi, Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 2-8pm with a Celebration of Life at 7:00pm. Bill will be put to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI, where he will be once again reunited with his wife Ellie. In Memory of William and Eleanor Copley, contributions may be made to directed to Marywood Nursing Care Center 36975 5 Mile Rd.
