Family and friends may call 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 -8:00 PM, Monday, July 2nd at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. William was a life-long Painesville resident and a member of St. Mary Church.

He served in the U. S. Navy from 1954 to 1957, and he worked for General Electric for many years. He coached for the Painesville Little League and Senior League Baseball throughout the 70’s. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling with his wife of 59 years and good friends.

He also enjoyed a tradition of camping with his children and then grandchildren; and later having “lazy days” with his great grandchildren. William is survived by his wife, Beverly (Ames) Joles, son, Jeffery Joles of Painesville Township; grandchildren, Autumn, Cerra, Sommer and Isabel; great-grandchildren, Kayden and Jupiter; sister, Judith Vidervall of Minneapolis, Minnesota; He was preceded in death by his son, William “Gregory” Joles Jr.; his parents, Clarence and Margaret (Butcher) Joles; brother Clarence “Bucky” Joles.
