William H. Kovarik, 82, a lifelong resident of the Bohemia area, died on May 14, 2019. Born in Bohemia, Bill graduated from Sayville High School and went on to serve in the US Air Force. He worked for more than forty years with Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage.

Mr. Kovarik is survived by his three children, Charlene Ackerly, William H. Kovarik, Jr, and Janet L. Tasso, all of Ronkonkoma, his five grandchildren, Nicole, Ralph, Amanda, Christina and Candace, five great-grandchildren, Brenna, Nicolas, Amelia, Luca and Ava Rose, as well as his siblings, Vince and John Kovarik, Bertha Cervanka and Eleanor Slavik. Friends and relatives will gather 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16th at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in Bayport where a service will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday night. Interment with military honors will be at Calverton National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17th.
