William’s Obituary William H. (Dub) Phillips, 81 a 34 year resident of the New Home Community (Cleveland County) passed away, Friday, January 25, 2019. He was born January 10, 1938 in Plainview, Texas to the late Harvey and Opal Sherrill Phillips. He was retired from Environmental Services with Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, was a member and Deacon of the New Home Missionary Baptist Church, Star City FFA, Star Farmer of Arkansas in 1956, and past President of Arkansas Environmental Services Directors Organization.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Clary Phillips of New Home Community, two sons, Russell Phillips (Shirley) of Hot Springs, Randy Phillips (Julie) of Monticello, a daughter, Lorri Myrick (Donald) of Star City, a brother, Jerry Phillips (Betty) of Star City, two sisters, Wanda Owen (Loyd) of Star City and Pat Warbritton (Buddy) of Hot Springs. Other survivors include, eight grandchildren, Anthony Phillips, Justin Phillips, Samantha Phillips, Sheila Phillips, Brandi Connett, Tabitha Sanders, Casey Phillips and Abby Burns. Also survived by ten great grandchildren, Kylie, Joshua, and Taylor Phillips, Braylin and Brynlee Connett, Mason and Ashlynn Sanders and Lani, Blaze, and Bentley Burns.

And numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, January 28, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City with Bro.

Johnny Brewster and Russell Phillips officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Av.
