William J. Black, Jr., 85, Pottsville, died Sunday at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest, Allentown. Born August 19, 1933, in Pottsville, he was the son of the late William J. Black, Sr. and the late Josephine Louise (Hopstetter) Black. After graduating from Minersville High School he enlisted in the United States Army.

He worked as a janitor at the former McCann School of Business. He is survived by his wife the former Ethel M. (Mooney) Black; sons Jimmy and David Black; daughters Debbie Bassler and Janet Black. Private funeral services and interment will be held at Indiantown Gap Cemetery, Annville.
