Obituary for William “Julius” Humphrey William “Julius” Humphrey 91 of Boaz passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at his residence His Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Etowah Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 until 8 at the funeral home. Rev.

Curtis Scott, Rev. Nickey Scott, Rev. Deon Black, Rev.

John Jacobs will be officiating. Pallbearers will be William Grady Humphrey, Shane Humphrey, Shannon Stone, Michael J. Owens, Nic Owens, and Shannon Bobo, Honorary Pallbearer Phillip Chaviers. Mr. Humphrey was better known as Julius.

He was member of Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a Well Driller all of his life and eventually went into business for himself which was Humphrey Well Drilling. He finally retired when he was 73.

He was a loving husband to Virginia Beard Humphrey for 50 years until the Lord called her home in 1998. He lived the rest of his life by himself enjoying his children, grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his Parents: Rev.

Grady and Mamie Humphrey, Grandchildren: Jeremiah Owens, Cameron Scott, Sons-in-laws: Mike Owens, David Scott, and Fred Stone and his Brothers and Sisters, Mr. Humphrey is survived by his Children: Judy Scott, Rev. Grady (Linda) Humphrey, Mamie Stone, Vicki Owens, Dianna (Don) Vaughn, 9 Grandchildren, 17 Great- Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren, brother, Jerry Humphrey and sisters, Vera Blackburn, Jimmy Dean McClure, Faye Nell McClure, Hazel Bohannon and Peggy Peppers.
