William Parker Smartt November 27, 1939 – January 04, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native William Parker Smartt, age 79, was born November 27, 1939 and died January 4, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness. Retired from the State of TN Dept. of Transportation and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Jonah and Annie Fults Smartt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Brandie Nashea Marie Smartt; daughter-in-law, Tina Smartt; and sister, Frances Boyd. He was married on May 25, 1984 to Mary Damron Smartt of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Emily (Jerry) Wimley, Russell Smartt (Lori Sherill), and Ross Smartt all of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Debra Irwin, Dawn Wimley, Brandy Brooks, Jonie Smartt, Jeffery Lewandowski, Caleb Smartt and Tisha Johnson; nine great-grandchildren; niece, Sue Terrazas; and nephew, Jimmy Boyd.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 in High’s Chapel with Mike Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High’s.
