Pinnon III, Hunter Pinnon and Abigail Pinnon Loving Brother of: Burns Thompson, Pauline Wright, Bennie Thompson, Hartford Thompson, Joyce Thompson, Doris Roberts and Shirley Sidbury William Ronal “Bill” Thompson passed away on April 27, 2019 at the age of 80. Bill was born in 1938 and grew up in Alabama, the youngest of eight brothers and sisters. After high school, he joined the US Navy where he served his country for 24 years, retiring as Master Chief Petty Officer.

He enjoyed a second career with the McDonnell Douglas /Boeing Corporation where he retired in 1997. And after his retirement, he and his wife Janet settled in Palmetto, Florida, where Bill also worked on the Tampa Skyway Bridge, offering a smile and sometimes directions to the drivers passing through. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, boating, fishing, and caring for their beautiful yard and swimming pool.

Bill is survived by Janet, two daughters, three stepsons, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dear friends, and will be remembered, loved and missed by all of us. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of William Ronal “Bill” Thompson please visit our Sympathy Store.
