Surviving are two daughters, Cassandra (Dionne Heuck) Day of Michigan City, IN and Autumn (Jevon) Day-Stringer of Goldsboro, NC; son, Kyle (Christopher) Day of Merrillville, IN; four grandchildren, Cayden, Violet, Chancellor and Cian; his father, Leland Day of LaPorte, IN; his mother, Betty Day of Michigan City, IN; two sisters, Patricia Coyle of Illinois and Debra (Patrick) Gardner of LaPorte, IN; and his brother, Chris (Sandy) Day of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Day.

Bill was a carpenter and enjoyed working and being with his family. Contributions may be made to the family of William Day in care of Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.
