William Sabo III, age 56, of Jackson passed away peacefully on May 16, 2019. Billy was born December 15, 1962 to Ruthan Calnan and the late William Sabo Jr. at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Elmore Idaho. Billy grew up and lived his life in Jackson, New Jersey.

After he graduated in 1981 from Jackson Memorial High School Billy enrolled in the US Army National Guard serving as a track vehicle mechanic until 1989 when he was honorably discharged. Billy was last employed by Down to Earth Landscaping of Jackson as an irrigation Technician. Billy’s favorite pastime was his love for fishing and watching his favorite football team the Giants.

Billy leaves behind, his mom Ruthan Leonard of Jackson, NJ; one son William Brandon Sabo of Toms River to carry on the Sabo legacy; one sister Jody Sabo of Bradley Beach, NJ; brother Don Sabo and his wife Tracey of Jackson, NJ; brother Stephen A Leonard Jr and his wife Eileen of Little Egg Harbor, NJ; Five nieces and two nephews; Emma and Cora Leonard, Samantha Young of Washington, DC; Jaclyn Haydu of Allenhurst, NJ; Luke Haydu of Oakhurst, NJ; Zach Groezinger of Bradley Beach,NJ; and Steffi Groezinger of Point Pleasant, NJ; Additionally he leaves behind many friends including his dear friend Johanne Joyner of Toms River, NJ which will all cherish their memories of Billy. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at “The Family Owned” Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals located at 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ 08753.
