William’s Obituary Graveside services for William Sam Gardner, 88, of Tylertown, MS will be held at 11:15 AM on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Tylertown Cemetery with Reverend Justin Knight officiating. Mr. Gardner passed away at his residence on Thursday, May 9, 2019. He was born April 25, 1931 in Waynesboro, Mississippi to the late Geraldine and William Gardner.

He is also preceded in death by a sister-in-law Ginger Hollingshead. Sam was a member of Tylertown Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Army for 25 years and fought in the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife Diane Gardner; children Janet (Patrick) Kirby, William (Wanda) Gardner Jr., and Christopher Gardner; grandsons Kale Gardner, Slade Gardner, Jace Gardner, and Patrick Sam Kirby; great-grandsons Kayson Gardner and Kallen Gardner; and brother-in-law Jerry (Louann) Holmes. Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
