THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF WILLIAM C. MATOS. WATERBURY – William C. Matos age 59 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. He was the devoted husband of Hilda (Rios) Matos.

William was born on October 6, 1959 in Coamo Puerto Rico, the son of the late William and Ada (Mateo) Matos. He was a dedicated employee of Cly-Del Mfg. in Waterbury for over 30 years, where he worked as a machine operator.

Willie was a strong man, set in his ways, whose most important role in life was to be a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed dancing and was an avid NY Yankee fan. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.

Besides his wife of 36 years, Willie is survived by his children; his son, William Matos and his wife, Melissa of Oakville, his daughters, Iesha Matos, Luz Matos and Eliz Jones all of Waterbury and Celia Smith of Terryville. He also leaves several grandchildren and his sisters, Carmen Mateo and Magda Matos, his brothers, Miguel and Jose Zimmbrana as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Matos will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd.

Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with William’s family at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
