Obituary of William Cook William E. “Bill” Cook, 88, of Superior, CO passed away on April 21, 2018. Bill was born on December 6, 1929 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Ebbeny and Beatrice (Ferguson) Cook. He grew up in Munising, Michigan, graduating from Mather High School in 1947.

Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving as an aeronautical electronic technician until 1952. After his discharge from the Navy, Bill began work at IBM, where he remained until he retired as a Branch Manager in 1990. He married Barbara Paun in 1956 and they raised their family in Illinois, Connecticut and Colorado.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Superior: children, Bob Cook (Laurie) of Superior; Betsy Knuppe (Mike) of Bismarck, ND; Doug Cook of Boulder; and grandchildren Kyle Knuppe (Dana), Gabby Cook and Jack Cook. Bill greatly enjoyed community service and was an active member of Sertoma/Kiwanis in Monument, CO during his retirement. A private, family memorial service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the charity of your choice.
