Willie Howard Jr. was born in DeWitt, Arkansas on September 7, 1941, to the late Will and Texaner Howard. He attended DeWitt Key Public School and worked many jobs in his life, L A Black, DeWitt Shoe Factory and Industrial Iron. He united in marriage to Margaret Johnson, October 1972.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Kimberly Howard and three sisters; Frances Rand, Dorothy Welch, and Rozene Hollins. Willie departed this life on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at DeWitt City Hospital. Leaving to cherish the memory of his life, his love and his legacy; his wife of 46 years Margaret Howard, one daughter; Tracy Howard of Arlington, TX; four stepdaughters, Valerie (Walter) Johnson, Felesia Phillips, Monica Johnson both of Little Rock, AR; and Jennifer Clark of Alexandria, VA; two sister, Joyce (Dave) Lewis of Covina, CA; Mary Howard of Chicago, IL; one aunt, Glorener Conditt of Chicago, IL; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, five brother-in-laws; six sister-in-laws, several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
