She attended Christian Fellowship Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; Cecil and Magadline Green, paternal grandparents; John Matt and Dorsey Green, maternal grandparents; James Bear and Sarah Wilson. She is survived by her husband Johnny Goins, by her children; Lorene Breeden (Gregg), Sharon Hensley (Bruce), James Smith Jr., and Russell Smith (Krista), by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, also by two brothers; Estel Green and Cecil Green (Teresa).
