Yolanda’s Obituary Yolanda “Viola” (Vitello) Loconto, 99, of Worcester died peacefully Monday February 11, 2019 in the Beaumont of Worcester surrounded by her loving family. Her husband John N. Loconto died in 1985. Viola is survived by a son Patrick J. Loconto and his wife Beverly of Southbridge, her daughter Constance “Connie” Caffone and her husband Francis with whom she lived with.

Viola was the loving grandmother to John Caffone and his wife Debbie, and Mark Caffone, also a great grandson Dominic. She was also the Proud step grandmother to Reed, Timothy and David and their families. Viola and John were foster parents for many children over the years.

She was predeceased by two brothers Frank and Albert, and four sisters, Rose, Anna, Mary, and Eleanor. Viola would have celebrated her 100 birthday on May 3, 2019. Yolanda was born in East Boston daughter of Pasquale and Concetta Vitello and came to the Worcester in 1938.

Viola worked at the Rectory for her beloved parish Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann for over 35 years before she retired. She was a member of the Golden Years Club of Our Lady of Mt Carmel-St Ann also the Women’s Guild for many years.

Viola enjoyed working and helping with the many church activities and functions. She always looked forward to the Christmas Bazaar at the church where she was a big help. Viola was a Lovely lady who will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Her family would like to thank the entire staff at the Beaumont in Worcester for their kindness and compassion shown to Viola and her family during her stay there. Viola’s funeral will be held on Friday February 15, at 11:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Loreto 33 Massasoit Rd. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4PM to 7PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Interment with her husband will be in St Johns Cemetery.
