Youvonne’s Obituary M. Youvonne Matzinger was born to Thomas and Mary Ellen Ratliff February 10, 1943 in Cooke County and passed away December 21, 2018 in her home in Denton, Texas. She graduated from Denton High School in 1961, and married Philip Hardy Matzinger September 1, 1962. She attended Tennessee Temple University.

Youvonne worked for both Denton and Ryan High Schools in the printing department, and retired from the University of North Texas Printing Department in 2004. She was a member of Life Fellowship Church (formerly Memorial Baptist) in Denton, Texas. She was a Christian.

Youvonne was an active member of her church, and a former volunteer for Senior Care of Denton. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Catherine Hampton, Victoria and D.J. Calhoun, all of Denton, Texas. Her grandchildren, Wyatt and Skylar Johnson, Ethan Hampton, Lillian, Skylar and Bailey Calhoun.

Sisters, Ruth Payne of Denton, Tx, Clara George Buttafucco of Euless, Tx and Pearl Owens of Denton, Tx. One brother, Earl Ratliff of Livingston, Texas, multiple cousins, nieces, nephews, honorary children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Philip, brother Samuel Ratliff, and sisters Joan Stubblefield and Mary Tom Ralls.

Visitation will be at Life Fellowship Church (formally known as Memorial Baptist) on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 10 am with services immediately following. Interment will be at Paradise Cemetery in Paradise, Texas.
