Obituary for Acacia “Kacie” Ann Dault Acacia ‘Kacie’ Ann Dault, 31, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 1st, 2018 while staying with family in Cloquet, MN. Kacie was born in International Falls, MN on September 14th, 1987 to Kevin Dault and Kathleen Rognerud (Briggs). She attended all of her elementary years in the Falls.

During those years she excelled in figure skating, baton twirling, and basketball, and later on spent her high school years playing Bronco Hockey. She attended and graduated from Falls High School in 2006. Kacie went on to attend Rainy River Community College, skating for the RRCC Women’s ACHA hockey team, and graduated in 2008 with her Associate of Arts Degree.

She worked all over the country, but she always loved her job at Island View, working there for countless summers. Kacie had a sense of humor that could leave a room doubled over in laughter, especially kids. She took pride in being the ‘fun auntie’, not just to her own but to all the little ones who came into her life.

Kacie was an empath full of compassion for everyone she met. She had an innate ability to sense when someone needed to hear a kind word, or lend a listening ear. She had an eye for fashion and took pride in always looking her best.

She aspired to work in fashion and modeling, and her pursuit took her all over the country. Some of our best times spent with our Kacie were on the lake and in the woods. She loved spending time at our dad’s hunting shack, and got a kick out of squirrel hunting.

She was an excellent fisherman, often times outfishing my dad and I with her eyes closed. She was great with plants, and was so good at growing anything she could from seeds. Her love was felt by so very many family and friends.

The impact she has made in all of our lives cannot fully be expressed with words, but forever felt and cherished in our hearts. Her enthusiasm for fun and laughter was so incredible, and I know she would want to pass that gift on to all of those she held so close to her heart. Kacie is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Butch and Harriet Dault, maternal grandparents Lester ‘Jack’ Sr and Rhoda Briggs, uncle Lester ‘Jack’ Briggs Jr, uncle Jim Hoffman, cousin Madison Briggs, and cousin Bailey Briggs.

Survived by father Kevin Dault, sister Hailey LePage, brother in law Dustin LePage, niece and nephew Raija and Tytus LePage, mother and stepfather Kathleen and Christian Rognerud. Kacie had so many aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends whom she held near and dear to her heart. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
