Obituary for Acelia Sue Young Vaughn Mrs. Acelia Sue Young Vaughn, 78, of Lancaster passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Lancaster Convalescent Center. She was born January 1, 1940 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Robert A. Young, Sr. and Mary Lou Hegler Young. Mrs. Vaughn devoted her life to her children and her husband of 59 years.

She was a member of Springdell Baptist Church and was retired from Springs Industries. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Vaughn will be held Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald W. Tillman officiating.

Mrs. Vaughn is survived by her husband, Wylie Gene Vaughn, Sr. of Lancaster; two sons, Wylie G. Vaughn, Jr. and his wife Denise of Kernersville, NC and Tony Vaughn of Lancaster; two daughters, Crystal Carnes of Lancaster and Melinda Woodhurst and her husband Andy of Rock Hill; a brother, Robert Young, Jr. of Lancaster; a sister, Mary Lynn Farr and her husband Jim of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Crystal Carnes. Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Vaughn.
