Tellez-Aquilar, Acension of Chelsea formerly of Nicaragua, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, on April 24, 2018 at the age of 66 after a brief battle with cancer. Devoted mother to Heidy Bravo-Brito and her husband Naeury Brito, of Rockland, Mass and Jeffrey Tellez, of Chelsea. Loving daughter of the late Nicolas Tellez and Dolores Aguilar.
Dear sister of Marissa, Myriam, Alejandro, Aman and the late Martha Lorena Aguilar and Jose Tomas Aguilar. Adored grandmother to April Bravo, Stayce Bravo and Axel Brito. Family and friends will honor Acension’s life by gathering on Tuesday May 1st from 4:00pm.
to 8:00pm. at the Ruggiero family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St (Orient Heights) East Boston with a service in our Serenity Chapel on Wednesday May 2nd at 10:00am officiated by Pastor Adrian Ayala, from Comunidad De Dios in East Boston. Services will conclude with Acension being laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
Acension was born on December 5th, 1951 in Nicaragua to Nicolas and Dolores (Aguilar) Tellez. In 1989 Acension moved from Nicaragua to Chelsea, where she lived until her passing. Acension lead a very simple and private life while raising two wonderful children, Heidy and Jeffrey.
Acension adored her three loving grandchildren April, Stayce and Axel who were the light of her life. She also was an avid Christian who attended service every Sunday at Comunidad De Dios in Central Square, East Boston. For the last 15 years of Acension life, she worked as a caretaker for Harvard Maintenance Inc., in Woburn.
