Guarino, Raffaele of East Boston formerly of Mirabella, Italy passed away on April 29th surrounded by his loving family at the age of 75. Beloved husband of over 52 years of Columbia Guarino. Devoted father of Lucille Gerardi and her husband Joseph of East Boston, Vincent Guarino of West Peabody and Elaina Guarino of East Boston.

Dear brother of Lena Buonopane of East Boston, Bianca Benizzoni of Italy and Rita Memmolo of Italy. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Dariana, Antonio, Corey, Marco and Joey. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Raffaele’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St., East Boston on Friday May 4th from 4:00PM to 8:00PM and again on Saturday at 8:30AM before leaving in procession to St. Joseph – St. Lazarus Church Ashley St., East Boston for a 10:00 AM funeral mass in celebration of Raffaele’s life. Services will conclude with Raffaele’s being laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery Malden, MA. Raffaele was born in Mirabella, Italy on August 31,1942 to Vincenzo and Lucia Guarino.

He moved to East Boston where he spent the rest of his life raising his family. He was a member of over 35 years to Painters Union DC35. He was a past member of the Alla Madonna Addolorata Society.

In honoring Raffaele in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation 1359 Broadway Suite 1509 New York, NY 10018.
