She grew up on Central Ave and worked over night at the Whidden Hospital in Everett as the lead nurse in the Emergency Department after graduating college.

In 1989 Jonnalee was involved in a car crash while pregnant with her daughter Paula. Jonnalee suffered some serious injuries but was able to return to work three short months later. Although she fought to keep up pace in the ER, her injuries wouldn’t allow it and she began a new career as a Phlebotomist but eventually transferred to the X-Ray department and eventually becoming the lead x-ray tech.

On the weekends Jonnalee enjoyed tending bar at Maxi’s Lounge where she was loved and adored by her customers and the Lake Family. One of her favorite all time stories was herself and Carolann on a road trip to Atlantic City where they apparently hit every animal that crossed the highway and every bird that flew by there car. If you knew these two you knew this story and you couldn’t help but laugh until you cried.

In 2014 Jonnalee suffered the unbearable loss of her Son, Richard Jr., who past away at the young age of 25. On April 17th, 2018 Jonnalee lost the love of her life Richard Sr., after a battle with cancer. Jonnalee’s love for her children is eternal, the kind that will never die.

Jonnalee (Ma) may you enjoy eternal peace with your Mother, Father big and lil Richie. Watch over us as we go forward during this difficult time and know that you are missed and loved now and forever! All that I am or hope to be I owe to my mother.

A Mother’s love is something that no one can explain, it is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain, It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may for nothing can destroy it or take that love away… It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking and it never fails or falters even though the heart is breaking… It believes beyond believing when the world around condemns, and it glows with all the beauty of the rarest, brightest gems… it is far beyond defining, it defies all explanation, and it still remains a secret like the mysteries of creation… A many splendored miracle man cannot understand and another wondrous evidence of God’s tender guiding hand.
