Marie Ann (Distasio) Deneumoustier life-long resident of East Boston and cherished member of the East Boston Community passed away peacefully on July 16 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Joseph “Jerry” Deneumoustier of 58 years. Devoted mother of Darlene Montgomery and her husband George of Andover, Colette Deneumoustier and her husband, Tony Previte of East Boston.

Beloved sister of the late Frank (Esther) Distasio and the late Joann Cardinale and her surving husband Peter. Cherished grandmother of Sean Montgomery and his wife Yaina, Anna Montgomery and Devon Previte. Loving great-grandmother of Alice Montgomery.

Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Marie was a lifelong resident of Jeffries Point East Boston, and was always politically and socially active in her community belonging to many community organizations. She was a proud veteran of the US Navy.

Family and friends will honor Marie’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St., East Boston on Sunday July 22nd from 2:00 P.M to 6:00 P.M and again on Monday morning at 8:30 A.M before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church Brooks St. East Boston for a 10:00 A.M funeral mass in celebration of Marie’s life. Services will conclude with Marie being entombed at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, MA. In lieu of flowers, please memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Attn: Greater Boston Walk to End Alz Team Marie’s Memory Keepers 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Suite 304 Waltham MA 02452.
